There is a secret cloak of the sacred which ensheathes the beachfront town of Tulum, and we graciously return to this potent portal to hold our annual 5 Elements Yin Yoga Teacher Training, where you will integrate the foundations of Yin Yoga Philosophy, Anatomy & Alignment, Chinese Meridian Theory, and the 5 Elements to learn to safely and effectively teaching Yin Yoga. Emphasizing Buddhist practices of equanimity and loving kindness, you will learn to use your authentic voice as an emerging Yin Yoga teacher and guide unique sequencing in the sacred art of restoration.
Yin Yoga is a practice that seeks to mindfully lengthen and lubricate the connective tissues and approach Equanimity in the subtle and emotional body. Practicing the methods of stillness, mindfulness, and loving kindness, Yin Yoga empowers practitioners to coax Prana into particular healing and rejuvenative pathways.
Teaching Yin Yoga is a divine practice for deep healing, and the mounting need to offer such practices grows more vividly each day. Spend a divine week on the beach learning to teach Yin Yoga, alongside daily Yang (Vinyasa & Iyengar) and Pranayama practices, meditation, learning the Art of Adjustments, the Sensual Science of Sequencing, and more.

Noble Silence & Our Daily Ritual Each day will begin with a Noble Silence practice, where we will integrate Vipasana style meditation, Yang Vinyasa, Iyengar, and Pranayama to awaken and enrich inner life. We will remain in silence through breakfast, after which we will break silence with learning modules crafted to deepen your own relationship to Yoga & Chakra Theory, Asana & Alignment, Buddhist + 8 Limb Yoga Philosophy, Meridians, Sequencing & Adjustments, and more. After lunch we will dive into each of the 5 Elements, and embody the practice through guided Yin sequencing of each element. Cooking classes, Yoga Nidras, Restorative Practices, and Teaching Practicums will be segmented throughout the evenings.
This Yin Intensive training is a potent addition to integrate components of Yin and Restorative Yoga into your own daily practice and into the yoga studios. We encourage seasoned yoga facilitators as well as emerging and brand new students who wish to deepen their own practice or begin teaching and sharing the essential practice of Yin Yoga with others. -COVID-19 Policy & Guideline-
With dedicated insight & priority for wellness, we have come up with a clear and enhanced safety protocol in the midst of the Covid age. Here is an overview of our policy which complies with CDC health guidelines.
We will carefully be following the Yoga Alliance and CDC recommendations for Yoga Studios and Retreats in (location). (Retreat center) is mostly outdoors, so we have the advantage of great ventilation! Still, we will ask each of you to be aware of your movement for the 14 days prior to arriving on site. We ask especially in those days to respect strict social distancing, including in all public spaces. If you might have been exposed to COVID-19 or have spent time with someone that has, please notify us at your earliest convenience.
All programs will have a maximum of 18 participants to minimize group size & exposure.
The studios will not have mats or props available for use, so please bring your own for the duration of the training.
Hand-sanitizers will be readily available and easily accessible in all facilities.
Please practice the safest measures of distancing prior to arrival for minimum of two weeks before. Aside from essential activity such as work, we expect practitioners to be compliant with their county's mandates for COVID precautions.
We require that each practitioner gets tested before travel. Please wear a mask, stay socially distanced, wash your hands often and avoid touching your face during your travel to the retreat center.
In the event of a government mandated closure, or illness occurs, participants will have the option to either:
a) receive a full refund minus 15% processing fees;
b) transfer your credit to the postponed date of training; or
c) select a different Kali Durga or Durga Excursion training (in person or online/virtual offerings are abundant in option) or retreat to transfer the funds to.
